Azerbaijan adds new market for hazelnut exports

In Azerbaijan, hazelnuts are among the most important agricultural products.
A significant producer of hazelnuts (35 000 tonnes), Azerbaijan exports 90% of its production to 20 countries. Its participation in GULFOOD 2017 has enabled it to negotiate a large deliveries in Spain.
Azebaijan produces 35 000 tonnes of hazelnuts, 90% of which is exported and ranks 4th worldwide in terms of hazelnut exports. Almost 25 countries, including Italy, Germany and Russia, are the main consumers of hazelnuts.
Exports to European countries have increased and this new order from Spanish companies promises a future increase.
GULFOOD 2017 production "Made in Azerbaijan" also attracted the attention of many other countries, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar for further exports.
