Bad weather caused the collapse of many fruits of early varieties, which led to a revision of crop estimates.
The SSP (Statistical Service and Foresight) now estimates the total production to 37 300 tons of cherries in France. A volume which decreased by almost 11% compared to 2015 and 6% below the five year average.
The first cherries inflows were moderate consumption and has been not very active. The production of early varieties is negative in all regions. Produciton is late but late varieties have a normal load.
