Six digits amount of money paid for tomato-seeds

350.000 dollars has been paid for 1 kilogram of special hybrid-seed of tomatoes by european producers to the israeli company Hazera-Genetics. The money has been spent to buy special sort of tomatoes called "summer sun" - a yellow tomato belonging to the cherry-tomato type. The seeds have been mutually developed by Hazera-Genetics and scientists from agriculture department at Rehovot . The tomatoes will be marketed under brand "Hazera Boutique" together with Special sorts of tomatoes belonging to so called gourmet-tomatoes. As declared by marketing manager of Hazera Genetics Mr. Eran Shafrir this sort of tomatoes will soon win a big popularity in whole Europe and will fetch high prices.He said: "Consuments are ready to pay more for this tomatoes because besides their sweet taste they contain antioxidants in big volume".
