2013 vegetables prices in Ukraine are remarkably higher comparing to 2012 period
Due to latest data, prices for fruit and vegetables at the beginning of February 2013 in Ukraine were 15 % higher than figures during this period in 2012. Carrots, beet, cabbage costs have increased up to 38%, prices for potatoes have been raised up to 22% during last year, all these factors triggered cost increase of fruit and vegetables inside Ukrainian market. It’s worth noticing that numbers regarding fruit costs show that 2012 prices have been raised up to 3,9%, while greenhouse vegetables costs have grown up to 4,9%.
According to forecast provided by agricultural specialists, Ukrainian market costs of traditional set of vegetables tend to grow every month as well as price gap between figures of 2012 and 2013 period.
