Frost warning

This is the warning given by the Union of Turkish Chambers of Agriculture , especially for fruit and vegetable producers such as citrus and bananas, which could be damaged by frost. The cold affects all of Turkey, but such production areas are generally not affected by frost.

The President of the Turkish Union of Chambers of Agriculture advises producers to take the necessary measures to ensure that their crops won't be damaged (fans , water dispersion) and in those who can reap the fruits mature to store them.

The frosts taking place on December 22 in the region of Mersin , the main area of ??Lamas variety of lemons, has already modified downward Turkish production of lemons.
