Chilean fruit exports have increased of 7.2% compared to the previous year.

For the 2010-2011 season, which ended on August 31st, volume of exports is 2,641,286 tons, an increase of 7.2% reported ASOEX, the Exporter Association.
Table grapes are always at the 1st place with 852 591 tons, that is 32% of the total exports of fruit and 6.7% more than during the 2009-2010 season.
Then:
- Apples with 847 097 tons (6.2%),
- Kiwifruit, with 183 140 tons (2.4%).
The highest increases were recorded by cherries (73.2%) and blueberries (39.6%).
The only decrease is on avocados (-36.1%) and lemons (-8.6%).
As for the destinations, the United States are at the top with 862 228 tons (-3.8%), followed by Europe 715 004 tons (0.6%), America Latina, with 524,640 tons (26.3%), and Asia Middle East with 342,771 tons (+28.4%).
