Potato tuber moth was detected in vegetables imported to Russia
State veterinary and phytosanitary service is concerned with frequent cases of Potato tuber moth detecting in vegetables imported to Russia from other countries. Pest was detected in 25 deliveries of potatoes imported from India and Morocco during March – June 2014 period. State examination proved that imported vegetables were contaminated with quarantine pest - potato tuber moth. In order to prevent spread of quarantine pest within territory of Russia, all the deliveries were sent for disinfection via fumigation.
