The agricultural production is going to fall of 10 % this year, and will see an increase of imports.
The fall in Russia's agricultural production has been tentatively estimated at 10% in 2010, Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said at a meeting of the State Duma, the lower house of parliament.
Many regions have been hit by both an unusually severe winter and the worst drought in decades, adding that the above estimate was preliminary and will specified only after all Russian regions finish the harvesting season.
