The harvest of potatoes in Idaho promises to be good.
With about 5% of the crop of potatoes already harvested, the experts predict a harvest of good quality products with almost the right size. Yields are in the average of the last five years. The cold spring has delayed the planting by several weeks which caused a late harvest this year.
Idaho, U.S. state No. 1 for the production of potatoes, showed a slight drop in its surfaces of potatoes: 315,000 acres in 2013 against 340,000 acres in 2012.
