Germany likes Turkish hazelnuts

Turkey is the leading world producer and exporter of hazelnuts. In 2013, its largest importer was Germany for the second consecutive year, followed by Italy and France.

Thanks to promotion group of hazelnuts supported by exporters and the government, Turkey has managed to diversify its markets. Its total exports in 2013 is almost 275,000 tons, sent to some 111 countries. Even Angola has bought 5 kg of hazelnuts!
