Appointment in the Austrian capital for the Consortium "Limone di Siracusa IGP".
The Consortium "Limone di Siracusa IGP" invests the Sternberg Palace, the Italian Institute of Culture in Vienna, for the promotion of its products, Wednesday, April 9. The event is titled "Wo die blüh'n Citron" (where the lemon trees bloom), a nod to a waltz by Johann Strauss (opus 364) dating back to 1874 that was performed for the first time in Turin.
The event will present the lemons of Syracuse, its ualities, its properties aws well as different products from lemons (oils, perfume ...). Tastings planned for many culinary uses developed by an Italian chef.
The Consortium brings together forty members (producers, cooperatives, associations ...) which cultivate about 1,200 hectares and produce 34,800 tons of lemons.
