The onion prices rise again

New increase of nearly +40%  for the price of onions in 1 week.

Unseasonal rains and an episode of hail in a producing region have led to the price of onions on the rise. In one week the price of onions rose by +39.44% in the most important market for the sale of onions in large country.

The offer was declined because of the lower production but also because of the voluntary storage of producers and intermediaries, in order to get better prices in the future. These high prices are expected to continue until mid-June, waiting for the new harvest.
