Purple Wonder, new variety of strawberry

A new strawberry variety is distinguished by a unique color.

Purple Wonder has been developed by horticulturists from the Cornell University. The color of this new strawberry is a deep red.

The Purple Wonder is very aromatic and has a sweet flavor. Intended for cultivation in temperate areas, the plant is robust and resistant to diseases and insects.

This new variety is presented at the Philadelphia International Flower Show. The Cornell University has entered into an exclusive license agreement with the company W. Atlee Burpee Co. for the sale of seeds Wonder Violet.
