The Russian market remains attractive to potato exporters

Potato exporters believe that Russia can become one of the most important markets for their shipments.Despite the economic downturn in Russia, the country has to import large quantities of fruits and vegetables.

Pakistan, which produces and exports citrus and potatoes may therefore increase its position in this market. But the authorities have not done enough to improve the volume of trade with Russia according to Pakistani exporters.

They call for stronger measures that can consolidate and increase exports , such as specific agreements with Russia or decreases in taxes and reductions in regulations. Contestants from India or Bangladesh would conquering markets according to them.
