An increasingly important market. In just 5 years Italy has seen its apple exports in Egypt, go from a very small share to 16% of its total production.
Egypt is now the second market for Italian apples, after the German market (36%). In a few years the value of Italian exports has more than quadrupled, from USD 42 million in 2011 to USD 197 million.
In addition to the fruit and vegetable trade, companies present can also offer their know-how in industry, technology and packaging. Italy is a world leader in these sectors.
