Citrus Fruit Less Popular Than Green Vegetables

Customers before Easter were more eager to buy fresh and green vegetables or fruit than imported citrus and bananas. Polish customers most often buy citrus and bananas before Christmas and before Easter citrus fruits are not so good in taste as in the beginning of the year ( they are not juicy). At present citrus is sold in wholesale markets in whole assortment : oranges 0,79 - 1,18 eur/kg, tangerines - 0,84- 1,45 eur/kg, grapefruits - 0,92-1,63 eur/kg. Bananas are sold at natomiast po 0,79- 1,20 eur/kg. In wholesale customers can buy also imported grapes, nectarines and pears. Among imported fruit the most popular are strawberries which prices fell even below 2,63 eur/kg.
