Poland
Thursday 21 December 2006
Higher prices on the Polish market are expected because of a lower crop of field vegetables (14% less than in 2005) and potatoes in Poland. Additionally, warm weather in December had a negative influence on fresh produce stored in traditional facilities. The onion crop in Poland (580 thousands MT) was 19% lower than last year, and the quality is also lower.
