For the first time Peviani took part in Fruit Logistica 2022 with a new independent stand. During the event, the management of the company met International suppliers and customers and got in touch with new interesting potential partners.
The event was also the occasion to present its next summer campaigns for baby and medium-size watermelons, available from May to September and seedless grapes, on sale from July to December.
“Seedless grapes, cauliflowers and watermelons are the most exported products. They grow in our fields in Apulia and Sardinia in Italy. In these areas we have created Organisations of Producers which work following our disciplinaries and share our same values.”, commented Saverio Sfuccillo, the export manager.
The Peviani’s customers are mainly large scale retailers. The company exports mostly to Northern Europe, UK, Switzerland, Eastern Europe and seeks to widen its presence on the European market.
“A great focus is put on quality, traceability and commitment to people and the environment. Our engagement is proved by a large number of certifications, among which are Smeta and another Italian certification released by MIPAAF, that prove our transparency throughout the entire supply-chain. Sustainability is also supported by continuous investment in new systems for cutting the use of water and fertilisers as well as practices to preserve biodiversity.”, concluded Sfuccillo.
