Tunisia promotes export of dates

Tunisia is on 4th rank in the world taking into account volumes of dates exported.

 

 

Thanks to Agency of Promotion Agriculture Investments (APIA), Tunisia became the first exporting country of date variety Deglet in the world.

 

 

The first estimations concerning the crops of dates in Tunisia in campaign 2009/10 predict around 42.000 tons while the previous harvest was at level of 40.000 tons.
