Zeebrugge has the ambition to become a European distribution center

Located at the northern entrance of the Channel, the Belgian port of Zeebrugge is considered an important gateway to / from Europe and the UK.
Zeebrugge which houses important centers of distributions (Tropicana in fruit juice, Seabridge for coffee, Zespri for kiwis) has the ambition to become a European distribution center.
The port has 1,200 reefer plugs, with a capacity of 900,000 m3 under controlled temperature, rents 5 to 15% lower than those in Germany or the Netherlands. The share of reefer containers is between 10 and 15% of total traffic.
The port has organized a meeting in Paris with French professionals to make its promotion and emphasize the benefits of the procedures in Belgium. The port has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd, the largest private port structure in India, to become the strategic port of entry to the European market.
