Oman has seen demand increase for fruits and vegetables during Ramadan.
Shopping centers and grocery stores in the Sultanate of Oman have experienced a 60% increase in demand for fruits and vegetables during Ramadan.
All shopping centers, including Lulu hypermarkets, the Family Shopping Centre, KM Trading, Safeer Hypermarkets, City Centre, Sultan Centre and Khimji Marts have made special arrangements to meet demand.
But following the demand, prices of fruits and vegetables have increased. Ramadan involves a total fast from sunrise to sunset, but the dawn meal and Iftar have traditionally been fruits and vegetables.
