Catalonia: season started for "DO Calanda Peach"

Last week in Catalonia started season for "Calanda" peaches.

 

 

It is expected that production of these peaches will reach the level of previous crops or even will be a little bigger.

 

 

Season 2008 ended in the first week of November with record crop 4.419 tons.

 

 

Despite present finance crisis, producers hope that consumers react positively to good quality, high content of sugar and juicy texture of "Calanda" peaches.
