First-ever sale of Colombian sugar mango to the United States

Colombia carried out the first-ever sale of sugar mango from Colombia to the U.S. Colfrutta, a company specializing in fresh fruit, has successfully closed a deal to export 6,000 kilograms of sugar mango to the said destination.
The company achieved the business agreement with Seasons Farm Fresh, an importer and distributor based in Miami, Florida, catering to a diverse clientele ranging from wholesalers to supermarkets and food services.
Originating from the northern region of Magdalena, the sugar mango was shipped to Dallas, Texas, and will further reach various destinations across the United States, including California, New York, Miami, and Washington D.C.
The successful export of the fruit was made possible with the support of several institutions, including the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, ProColombia, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, ICA, the Colombian Embassy in the United States, Fedemango, and Asohofrucol.
