Israel & Italy wish Agrofood Cooperation

Italian and Israeli Ministers of Agriculture have signed a joint declaration manifesting the intention to reach an accord of cooperation in the agrofood sector.
In a recent meeting in Rome, Israeli Minister of Agriculture Shalom Simhon (pictured) met Italian colleague Luca Zaia and agreed on the intention to develop cooperation between the two ministries, which would include bilateral programmes of research and development in the agricultural and agrofood sectors.
The programmes will be funded by both ministries, in accordance with the planned budget and with each national laws on research. Both parties will support and work for the implementation of the agreements reached in the Joint Declaration.
