Agriculture is the engine of growth and will highlight AGRF 2017

 

 

 

The theme for this 2017 edition will be "Accelerating Africa's progress towards prosperity: contributing to the growth of economies and job creation in Africa through agriculture".

 

 

 

The event will include heads of state, ministers, farmers' organizations, agribusinesses, financial institutions, researchers who will debate innovative policies and programs to improve agricultural processing and food security. Greater political will and increased spending on agriculture can boost economic growth.

 

 

 

The African Development Bank plans to increase its investment in agriculture to more than USD 24 billion over the next 10 years.
