ROYPACK ENTERPRISES announces a great avocado season.
Set on equator, Kenyan avocado production lasts for longer seasons and enjoys ideal conditions for natural ripening of this tropical fruit. Besides that, location of the farms at high altitudes, where crops protection requires little, makes the production purely organic.
This year Roypack expects a successful season with the production volume of 80-100 tons weekly. Grower exports two varieties: Hass and Fuerte, Global gap, Grasp and Organic certified.
Fuerte season began on 1st February and will last till July. Hass season will start from 1st March and will last till August.
For both varieties dry matter should be 22% and this guarantees excellent maturity levels for exportable fruits that give excellent results in the market as they have great taste, texture and are sweet.
“This season we are focused on quality, big sizes and mature fruits as we launch on the market our 2 brands” the Director, Wilberforce Ngugi explains. “Firmness should be 13kg/0.28 cm2, pulp should be sound, clear and free of discoloration to cover increasing demands of European market. We are working hand in hand with our shipping line to ensure sound arrivals of our shipments in different destinations”
