Pistachio, tomato and watermelon top the ranking by export value

Pistachio tops ahead of tomato, watermelon and dates, in terms of value in Iranian exports from March 21 to November 21 (Photo: keshavarziayandehjahan.ir).
Iran exported 4.86 million tons of agricultural products in the first 8 months of the current Iranian year (March 21-November 21).
According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Iran exported 4.86 million tons of agricultural and food products worth 2.99 billion USD. That is, compared to the same period of the previous year, a variation of -11.8% in value and -11.02% in volume.
In terms of value, pistachio comes first with 229.9 million USD; follow the tomato with 193.28 million USD, watermelon with 174.35 million USD and dates with 129.04 million USD.
In terms of volume, watermelon comes first with 799,720 tons; tomatoes follow with 413,500 tons, then onions, shallots and garlic with 268,760 tons, and apples with 260,330 tons.
