China is investing in agricultural production in Chechnya

Chinese investors have forecast a huge operation in the Caucasus, in Chechnya.
According to the interview by RIA Novosti website, Chinese investors are moving into the area of Shelkovsk (north of Grozny) in Chechnya fish farms , poultry and complex of greenhouses. The site chosen will count 220 hectares and will produce rice , fruits and vegetables.
These greenhouses will benefit from significant geothermal resources of the Shelkovsk area. The initial investment is estimated at about 165 million rubles and the project could be implemented by the end of the year.
