Siberia also produces strawberries

In the Irkutsk region in Siberia , temperatures tend to fall around -20 °C between December and February and yet it is produced strawberries in winter.

The farm has installed Angara greenhouses on 1.5 acres, Ust- Ilim , about 890 km north of Irkutsk city.

To produce fruits and vegetables that are lacking in the normal production in the region. Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers , radishes, salads but also strawberries.In these fully automated greenhouses , strawberries produce all winter and even into June. Fresh strawberries are sold in markets Irkutsk 200 rubles (3.05 euros) 150g of the tray .
