Peru’s whole paprika export value rises 25% through August

Peru exported US$90.96 million worth of whole paprika between January and August 2026, up 24.5% from the same period last year, despite a 24.8% decline in volume to 19,987 tonnes, according to Agrodata.

The average export price reached US$4.55/kg, compared with roughly US$2.75/kg in the same period of 2025.

In August, exports totaled US$12.07 million and 2,814 tonnes, at an average price of US$4.29/kg. In August 2025, shipments were worth US$5.98 million, with volume of 2,109 tonnes and an average price of US$2.84/kg.

Mexico was the leading destination, accounting for 66% of export value at US$59.88 million. The United States followed with 27%, or US$24.98 million. Spain represented 4% and Guatemala 2%.
