Iran increases its exports of potatoes and is expected to exceed 600,000 tonnes this year
Exports are increasing to Iraq, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia and the Gulf countries.
The President of Iran National Potato Association states that in December the country exported about 420,000 tons of potatoes and it is expected to exceed 600,000 tonnes in March 2013.
The production of the country is 4.8-5 million tons. Perhaps 5.2 million tonnes this year.
