Fyffes considers new acquisitions

Fyffes, the fresh exotic fruit importer is ready to consider new acquisitions in 2010 in order to diversify its activities.
David Mc Cann, Fyffes President recently announced in an interview that he wanted to develop the size of the company to consolidate its activities. With huge apount of fresh money, the company has lot to spend in acquisitions.
Fyffes recently took over a bananas plantation in Panama in order to continue the company expansion in both importing and producing exotic fuits. This behaviour will be continued in 2010, according to the market opportunities.
Fyffes will make substantial savings from this year, thanks to new European Union Rules on Latin American bananas import fees. 1 million sterling pounds ( 1,15 million euros) should be saved with the new rules.
