Messe Berlin to launch new fresh food trade show in Singapore in 2027

Messe Berlin has announced the launch of Fresh Food Expo Asia Pacific (FFE APAC), a new international trade show covering fresh food products, agricultural technology and logistics. The first edition will take place on November 16–18, 2027, at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore.

The event will become part of Singapore International Agri-Food Week (SIAW) and will receive support from the Singapore Food Agency, Temasek and Enterprise Singapore. The announcement follows an agreement between Messe Berlin and the Singapore Tourism Board.

Three main sectors

FFE APAC will bring together producers, exporters, importers, retailers, distributors, technology companies and logistics providers from Asia Pacific and other regions.

The exhibition will cover three main areas:

-Fresh Food: Fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood, dairy products and other food categories.

-Agri & Fresh Technology: Farming technology, cold storage, ripening systems, packaging, processing and solutions to extend product shelf life.

-Logistics and Distribution: Freight transport, warehousing, customs services, cold chain management and distribution networks.

The event will also offer business meetings and opportunities for companies to establish new trade partnerships.

Messe Berlin expands its international network

According to Dr Mario Tobias, CEO of Messe Berlin, the new exhibition will use the company's existing international connections to reach more sectors of the fresh food industry.

FFE APAC will complement Messe Berlin's current trade shows, including FRUIT LOGISTICA in Berlin and ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA in Hong Kong.

Unlike these exhibitions, which focus primarily on fresh fruits and vegetables, Fresh Food Expo will cover a wider range of perishable food products and related services.

Messe Berlin is also expanding its activities in other markets through its FRUIT LOGISTICA Connect series, with an event planned in Mumbai, India, from 2028.

Singapore to strengthen regional trade connections

Singapore's transport infrastructure and links with Asian markets are expected to support the development of the new exhibition.

Representatives of the Singapore Food Agency and Enterprise Singapore highlighted the importance of international cooperation in improving food supply chains and helping businesses enter new markets.

The organizers aim to establish FFE APAC as a regular meeting point for companies involved in fresh food production, trade and distribution across Asia Pacific.
