Broccoli / artichoke / spinach, the trio of best performers

3 vegetables share the podium productions that have recorded the best growth.

According to the data from Magrama , the Ministry of Agriculture, the 2014 production was recorded remarkable growth over previous year: especially broccoli (+ 12.4%) , artichokes ( + 16.5%) and spinach ( + 6.9%). More moderate increase for lettuce (+ 1.7%) and near stagnation in cauliflower (-0.7%) .

For the 2015 harvest , the estimates from the previous season is still early but show an increase for tomatoes (+ 3.9%), for carrots (+ 8.3%), for beans (+ 4.6%). Expected decline instead for aubergines ( -1.6%) and escarole (-4.9%) .
