Surat Thani markets 95% of its expected durian crop

Surat Thani had marketed 95,814.2 tonnes of durian, equivalent to 95.09% of its estimated 2026 production, according to the provincial Commerce Office's update.

The province expects around 100,759 tonnes of durian from 96,609 rai of productive area. Rambutan was even closer to the end of its marketing cycle: 21,475.4 tonnes had reached the market out of an estimated 21,493 tonnes, or 99.92%.

Mangosteen was less advanced at 88.62%, with 2,531.8 tonnes marketed from estimated production of 2,857 tonnes. Longkong stood at 88.51%, with 1,505.6 tonnes marketed from a forecast 1,701 tonnes.

Prices on 18 September ranged from THB95–100/kg (around US$2.85–3.00/kg) for Monthong AB durian and THB70–75/kg (US$2.10–2.25/kg) for Monthong C. Mixed-grade mangosteen was quoted at THB20–25/kg (US$0.60–0.75/kg), while large Rongrian rambutan stood at THB20–23/kg (US$0.60–0.69/kg).
