For many Americans, guacamole is a necessary part successful Super Bowl meetings and parties.
In the United States the final of the Super Bowl is the day of the year when the consumption of avocados is the most important. That day guacamole is on the menu for millions of American homes. But this year, a fuel shortage in Mexico fears a reduction in deliveries by trucks and therefore a drop in supplies. APEAM announced that shipments are proceeding as planned.
APEAM (Asociación de Productores y Empacadores Exportadores de Aguacate de México) has issued a press release assuring that avocado shipments by land transport are proceeding normally.
From week 03, it is expected that more than 1,200 trucks per week will leave the Michoacán region for the United States, or 1 truck every 8 minutes. These trucks use diesel fuel and APEAM reports no major problems so far. The organization remains confident, the sector will continue to work normally.
Mexican professionals are ready to respond to the demand generated before, during and after the LIII edition of the Super Bowl that will take place on Sunday, February 3, 2019.
