Australian fruit growers can use new video resources to help train new workers to harvest fruit (cherries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, blueberries, apples).
Developed by FGT (Fruit Growers Tasmania), these videos help train new workers from a variety of backgrounds in fruit harvesting. The videos cover cherry, strawberry, raspberry and blackberry, blueberry and apple harvesting.
The videos are short (5 to 6 minutes), with simple and clear messages to help these new workers become familiar with harvesting activities, general safety and hygiene principles, and the various risks.
The videos are available in 10 different languages, including English, French, Portuguese, Tetum, Samoan, Tongan, Hindi, Punjabi, Chinese and Korean.
