Decrease in cassava exports in January

In January 2022, Peru exported 433.687 kilos of cassava, worth $68.164. The main destination for these exports was Chile. The figures indicate a slight decrease compared to January 2021, when exports reached 452.596 kilos and $79.399, according to Agrodata portal.
Worth to note that, in 2021, Peruvian cassava exports totaled 5.399.196 kilos worth $1.259.894, which means a decrease from the 6.220.041 kilos shipped in 2020 for $2.801.096.
The main destination market in 2021 was Chile, with placements of $1.234.000. Other destinations, with much smaller amounts, were Spain with $12.000 and the United States with $8.000.
