The traffickers had hidden the drug in 10 parcel hidden in boxes of fruits.
The Criminal Investigation Department of Brussels seized 110,860 kg of pure cocaine at a wholesaler in fruits and vegetables situated “Quai des Usines”.
The drug resulted from Colombia and was hidden in boxes of fruits.
The drug was distributed in 10 parcel about 10 kg each. The cocaine was packed in bags of textile closed by padlocks and covered with transparent plastic sheets. Under these sheets, there was another rubber coat to isolate parcel and neutralize the smells.
The goods which had passed in transit by the port of Antwerp arrived, for a still unknown reason and probably by mistake, to the storekeeper.
Police specifies that the wholesaler is suspected not at all in this affair.
