Papple, the new pear that looks like an apple, has been launched in the UK by Marks & Spencer.
British chain has launched "Papple", the pear which resembles an apple.
This week, Marks & Spencer launched "Papple" new fruit-flavoured pear. Papple was developed in New Zealand, where it is officially known as the PremP109. This is a hybrid between
two varieties of European and Asian pears. Its colour is attractive and it tastes sweet and tasty.
All the New Zealand production is exported to Asian markets and the UK. It will take several years for a British production of Papple, aasuming that consumers take to this new fruit.
