Halls, a world-class avocado firm, has announced the appointment of Managing Director for South Africa.
Roger Armitage has been appointed as the new Managing Director for South Africa. Roger joined the company on July 1, 2020.

Roger is an agricultural economist with extensive business experience gained in various productions and development finance in the agricultural sector. He obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in agricultural economics from the University of Natal. He worked at SA Cane Growers' Association as Regional Director for the Tugela region and then at the headquarter as Director of Economic Services. Then he was CEO of Akwandze Agricultural Finance and then was in charge of creating and managing a 2nd company, TSGRO Farming Services, which is a provider of support services to farmers for agrarian reform in Nkomazi.

He also strongly believes in harnessing the capabilities of an organization to make a meaningful contribution to today's sustainability challenges.
