Mercabarna increased its exports by 30%

Mercabarna, the wholesale market of Barcelona, ??has increased its exports by 30%. According to the professionals it is the decline of internal demand that led the wholesalers of Marcabarna to increase their opportunities on the international market. Mercabarna exports fruits and vegetables (85%), meat (10%) and fish (5%).

In August, traditionally calm because of many closed companies, the sales volume increased by 18.9% compared to August 2012. This is the best performance in August for over 10 years.
