In March 2017: Fruit exports increase as Vegetables exports decrease

Grape is leading the Peruvian exports, second: citrus and third mango
Peru is still exporting more fruits (+ 9% in value) and slightly fewer vegetables (-10.1% in value) according to the latest AGAP (Asociación de Gremios Productores Agrarios del Perú) data.
AGAP announces that in March 2017 exports of fresh fruits increased by 9.7% in value compared to the same period of 2016. Grapes that generated USD 242 million (194 million last year) is the top Exported produce in front of citrus and mango.
Fresh vegetables decreased by 10.1% in value, mainly due to the decrease in exports of asparagus (-13%). On the contrary, exports of fresh garlic increased by 128% in value.
The main markets for Peruvian fruit/veg exports are the United States which received 35% of total exports and the Netherlands (24%).
