Guatemalan companies were even more numerous

Exhibitor at the PMA Fresh Summit for 32 years consecutively, Guatemala had a large delegation that confirmed the importance of the US market for its exports.

 

 

Led by AGRITRADE of AGEXPORT, the delegation this year counted more than 70 companies who came to discover market opportunities and expose their offer. As in previous years, the delegation occupied a stand of 100 m2 "Guatemala Beyond Expectations", synonymous with the diversified offer. Fruit, vegetables, fresh and frozen, processed products, juices and beverages, canned goods, ready-to-eat fruits and vegetables, dried fruits and vegetables, fruit pulp.

 

 

According to export statistics, the agricultural sector exported USD 1,061 million to the United States, accounting for 43% of the sector's total exports. Among the main agricultural products exported to the US are bananas (USD 426.2 million), melons (USD 70.0 million), green beans (USD 32.4 million) and peas (USD 23.2 million) .
