The region of Murcia foresees an increase of the production of artichokes.

The Advisor of Agriculture predicts a harvest of 86,726 tons of artichokes this season, which represents an increase of 1% compared to the previous year.

Areas of artichokes of Murcia region have increased by 14% over the last 10 years (7347 hecatres in 2012). Murcia is the N ° 1 region for the production of artichokes in Spain, reaching 42% of the national total. In the ranking, the region of Murcia is followed by Valencia and Andalucía.
