"5 a day" analyzes solutions for the future
On March 5 and 6, the Spanish association "5 al día" held its 28th General Assembly of Members, the 19th "5 al día" Awards, and the 18th Professional Conference.
The three meetings held in Madrid once again brought together representatives from across the fruit and vegetable sector value chain to share results, reflect on the challenges facing the sector, and continue to promote the consumption of fruit and vegetables in society. The events were made possible thanks to the support of sponsors and collaborators who back the association's work: Cajamar, Euro Pool System, Uniq, Pink Lady®, Primaflor, Grupo AGF Fashion, Cebollas Consuay, UDAPA, Mercamadrid, and Fruit Attraction (IFEMA Madrid).
Analyzing the present and building the future
The 28th General Assembly of Members was the forum for taking stock of the association's activities and analyzing the challenges facing the sector in the coming years. During the session, results, new initiatives, and lines of work were shared with a common goal: to continue strengthening the "5 a day" community by incorporating new members, collaborating with new partners, and promoting a strategy based on relationship marketing with current members.
New phase, new members
In addition, the Assembly marked the beginning of a new stage for the association, following the renewal of the Board of Directors, which incorporates new faces representing the sector and reinforces the commitment to continue working together to promote the consumption of fruits and vegetables. After the Assembly, the sector gathered at the 19th "5 a Day" Awards gala, which recognizes initiatives, professionals, and projects that contribute to promoting the consumption of fruits and vegetables and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
