5th Mersin Citrus Festival

Citrus were honored during the festival on 15 and 16 November.

This event grows a little more each year. It is taking place at the edge of the Mediterranean southeast of Turkey and it is becoming a tourist tower because of its tanks, its parade and many folk teams from many countries.

This year, 100 tons of citrus were used to decorate the floats. But the highlight of the festival was undoubtedly the fashion show with the theme citrus. Not only is the beach promenade decorated but the entire city of Mersin is sharing the excitement of the event with an increasing participation.

The first objective of the festival is to increase consumer interest in citrus, which is an important source of income for the region, and many official and civil organizations are involved in organizing the festival.
