Mango shipments jump in early 2026, led by US and European demand

The United States and Netherlands are leading the demand.
Peru exported 129,356,625 kg of fresh mangoes in January-February 2026, generating $198,384,377 FOB at an average price of $1.53 per kg, according to Agrodata Peru.
In January 2026, shipments totalled 77,437,630 kg valued at $116,863,526, with an average price of $1.51 per kg.
In February 2026, exports reached 51,918,996 kg worth $81,520,851, with an average price of $1.57 per kg.
For comparison, in January 2025, exports stood at 85,991,084 kg valued at $94,568,701, with an average price of $1.10 per kg, while February 2025 shipments totalled 56,343,581 kg worth $70,735,703, with an average price of $1.26 per kg.
The United States remained the major recipient in early 2026, accounting for $81,199,097 or 41% of export value. The Netherlands followed with $58,228,363 (29%). Other markets included Spain $10,382,544 (5%), the United Kingdom $10,262,721 (5%), Republic of Korea $8,699,247 (4%), Canada $6,682,630 (3%), France $3,091,121 (2%), Mexico $2,682,341 (1%), and other destinations $11,704,784 (6%).
