Peru pomegranate exports jump in early 2026

Strong February shipments drive early-season growth, with higher volumes offsetting slight price pressure.
Peru’s pomegranate exports increased in the first two months of 2026, with higher volumes and stronger returns compared to the same period last year, according to Agrodata.
Between January and February, shipments reached 10,523 tonnes, up from 8,341 tonnes in early 2025, a rise of 26%. Export value climbed to $30.1 million, compared to $22.7 million a year earlier, marking an increase of 33%.
The average export price stood at $2.86/kg in early 2026, up from $2.72/kg in 2025. In February, prices edged slightly lower year-on-year to $2.77/kg, compared to $2.80/kg.
