Sunkist appoints new directors to strengthen procurement and global growth
The two executives will play central roles in advancing key priorities, including building stronger supplier networks and expanding international business.
Sunkist Growers has appointed two new directors as part of its ongoing push to reinforce operations and expand its global presence.
Joshua Carr has joined the cooperative and its affiliate Fruit Growers Supply as Director of Procurement. In this role, he will oversee purchasing activities across multiple business units, manage supplier relationships, and help shape procurement strategy across the organisation. Carr brings more than 15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, most recently working with Walmart on large-scale purchasing and supplier management programmes.
At the same time, Stephen Sheldon has been appointed Director of Global Business Development. He will focus on identifying new international opportunities, strengthening existing markets, and managing key strategic accounts. Sheldon has more than 19 years of experience in the produce and agriculture sectors, having previously held roles with Limoneira, Westpak Avocado, and NuVasive. Raised in a citrus-growing family in California, he is described as having a strong practical understanding of the industry and the needs of growers.
Both positions report to Chief Operating Officer Christian Harris. The company indicated that the appointments are intended to strengthen leadership capacity and support long-term growth. Harris noted that the new directors bring extensive operational and strategic expertise, which is expected to help the cooperative expand partnerships, improve supply chain coordination, and pursue new market opportunities.
According to the organisation, the two executives will play central roles in advancing key priorities, including building stronger supplier networks and expanding international business. The moves reflect the cooperative’s broader focus on reinforcing capabilities needed to compete in a fast-changing global citrus market.
